"Keep drawing, keep smiling, and don’t erase!"
Beanie & Bren is a weekly interactive show where a muralist and his friends share art, smiles, and fun through the power of creativity and kindness. Their adventures inspire them to create various art projects, and you can follow along with them in a step-by-step process.
Bren takes the time to demonstrate how the audience can create the drawing or craft on their own. It is okay if your drawing or craft looks different than the one being created by Bren because the No.1 drawing rule here is “Don’t erase.”

Beanie & Bren is an amazing series to get kids excited about creating art! I showed my fourth graders a few videos during class time and they were hooked. Most of my students then went home and watched video after video and created drawing after drawing! They instantly fell in love with both Beanie and Bren. The humor and positive outlook on art and life in general is infectious. I had many students tell me they spent hours watching videos and drawing. As an elementary art teacher, it is a great tool for me to get students excited about creating art and feeling confident in their creative ability. I will continue to spread the word about this greatseries. Thank you for creating such a positive outlet for kids!

clever and inventive. The “Beanie and
Bren Show” is a terrific way to draw out the
natural creativity in our children. The interactive
nature of the program keeps kids both entertained
and fully engaged. At the end of each episode they have created—with the help of the show’s characters—a real piece of artwork. Bren does a masterful job of breaking down the drawing into its most basic parts and demonstrating how, with a few simple strokes of his
pen, an amazing picture is created. We need
more of this kind of programming
for our children.
My students and I look
forward to each episode of the
‘Beanieand Bren Show.’ Beanie and Bren
are fun to listen to and we really like following
the step-by-step directions to draw the characters
and complete the art projects. Sometimes I’ve had kindergartners and sixth graders draw together on
paper and then draw and animate his characters on Scratch. It’s a wonderful cross-age collaborative
activity. They really enjoy Bren’s words encourage-
ment and Beanie’s sense of humor. We always
laugh and have fun while we learn together
and can’t wait for the next episode

As a parent and an educator,
I love the main idea behind the Beanie
and Bren show: Don’t erase! I love watching
Beanie and Bren collaborate as they tackle new art projects from pop culture, and from a number of cultures, for that matter, and how the show
encourages children to learn art skills and make
them their own. We look forward to each new episode of Beanie and Bren!
